Second last weekend with Liezle

On Friday, Dallas came over after work and we watched a movie while eating omelets and drinking mimosas because why not? It got really hot that night and neither of us could sleep, so he went home at 6 and I decided to walk down to the river and back, so I saw the sun rise. Then, when I got home, I did the dishes and fell back to sleep for 3 hours or so.
Foggy sunrise over the river. Setting up for the festival later that day.
Roses on the street I walk down to get to the river.
After I woke up and got ready for the day, I met up with Dallas again and we went to brunch at Sommertisch. He mixed it up a little bit by having an omelet instead of his usual French toast, but that's what I ordered and we split it. His eggs were good, but a little too rich for me because they had a mushroom and beef cream sauce in the middle.
After breakfast, we went down to the river and walked beside it to go downtown because he wanted to buy some sandals. Liezle called when we got downtown and told me that she and Nick were having ice cream, so we joined them as Baskin Robbins and split mint and caramel ice cream. Then we all decided to go shoe shopping with Dallas, followed by cone pizza, which Liezle had never eaten before. Then Nick drove us up to the lake in Jinju. It was really nice riding in the car with all the windows open - that's one thing I sometimes miss about being home (although I don't miss car insurance, maintenance or gas).

We first went for coffee at Angel in Us and sat on the porch there for awhile, drinking and talking. While we were sitting there, we heard a huge crash - a lady rolled down the hill in her car and smashed into a BMW and the safety rail. It wasn't a bad crash, but the cars were damaged a decent amount. It took over an hour for the owner of the BMW to get there, have the insurance people come out and move the one car with  a tow truck. While that was going on, we decided to go to Jinju land - the crappy kids' amusement park next to the zoo. Korean safety standards aren't that great, but the boys really wanted to go. We got a 3 ride package and rode this really fun, spinning ride first, which made Liezle pretty dizzy. Then we rode the bumper cars, which was fun, but short and of course I ended up getting a huge bruise on my shin. Last we rode this thing called a skyride. Its like a little train track over the park and you're in a car with bike pedals. The car didn't really watch us, so we could have done whatever we wanted on them - like crashing into each other or not wearing the seat belts. It was a little scary because it knocked and shook every time we went around a curve.

After the amusement park, we walked up the hill to the observation area. I didn't know it was up there, or I would have gone there before. We got there at the perfect time - right around sunset. We walked to the top and took lots of pictures. Nick is very talented at photography, but all he had was his cell phone, so the pictures aren't that great. Still it was really pretty.
Us on the top of the platform. It was a pretty big, stable building so I didn't freak out like I normally would.
Sunset over the lake is always pretty.

I didn't get the "look thoughtful" memo
I think it looks like a proposal. Neither of us could stop laughing and both boys yelled at us about it.
Then, Nick dropped off us at the castle for the Nongage festival, which was what my original plan for the day was. He was really tired, so he didn't join us. I'm really glad that my original plans were changed, because it was kind of boring. I think we missed a few more interesting things that happened during the day, but not much. Anyway, I got to hit Dallas with this stick and then a man talked to us for about 10 minutes before we managed to get away.
I hit him twice and couldn't stop laughing.
After that, we went back to our apartments and changed/refreshed for dinner. We split a cab to GNU and ate pork bbq, then went for drinks near the porch at Urban Drink. I say near the porch, because the porch was full, but the sliding windows were open, so we were close. It was a really nice night too. The weirdest (although not at all weird) part was when a table of 7 girls came over to ask if Dallas would go sit with them and be in pictures. Of course he complied. The three of us talked for a long time, then went home. Liezle and I stayed up for about another 1-2 hours talking and laughing while we were lying in bed. I've said it before, but I really miss having her around.
Dinner - Dallas cooked because we're liberal like that...and he doesn't eat as much.
Dallas and his harem of strangers
The "funny" picture - although 95% of the pictures turned out slightly like this
Good-byes suck
We woke up early and met Kyeong He at Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast. We sat there for not quite 2 hours talking and catching up. Then Kyeong He and I walked to church while Liezle caught a cab to the bus station. We got to church pretty early and she showed me some pictures of when she was younger and we laughed about them. Dallas showed up before the sermon and joined us. Afterwards, they left and I met up with a discussion group for about 30 minutes. I really like the group because it solidifies my understanding of the sermon, but also I like knowing the prayer requests for the other members - it helps me focus when I pray.

After church, I went to Dallas's apartment and helped him clean out his closets - the boy had 3 bags of clothes to donate and it barely made a dent! Then we ordered in jjajang noodles and watched an episode of Glee while we ate. After dinner we walked down by the river again and I made Dallas a daisy crown. The musical fountain finally turned on and we watched that for awhile at the start and end of our walk. The strangest part, and this is about to be an overshare, is that during our walk, my underwear kept falling down. It got so annoying that I eventually went to the bathroom and took them off, continuing our walk commando. Then we went to emart and got some groceries, then went home.

I like this peacock feathers look
Me being a Greek god or something and not being happy about it
Daisy crown. He wore it for a fairly long time too.
I love ending the weekends with Sunday walks by the river - it's good closure and a nice way to end the evening. I wish I got out of work earlier so I could do them more often.
